Direct wire harness for Pioneer Headunits (fits 2000-2008 Chevy/GM vehicles- See compatibility information below)

This harness is the simplest way to install a Pioneer headunit in your Chevy or GMC vehicle. It is pre-wired with the Pioneer connector on 1 end and the Chevy/GM connector on the other.

Not directly compatible with amp systems like Bose, Infinity, On-Star etc. but you can install this in a Bose vehicle by bypassing the amp. Use this hack to bypass the amp.

What's included:

• Pioneer Direct Wire Adapter, AM/FM radio adapter, and 12V power lead (for vehicles that do not have a +12V supply in the OEM radio wiring)
• Steering Wheel Control wires are provided to the OEM connector (This signal is unique - the signal is not provided on most aftermarket install harnesses) Multiple wires are provided for this and some of them will not be used on all vehicles.
• Reverse, Vehicle Speed, and E-brake signals are provided from the Pioneer connector since this will need to be connected elsewhere on the vehicle.
• +12v switched (Red) and Ground (Black) connections are provided for wiring of a steering wheel control interface or other +12v devices.
• Amp Turn-on signal is provided for connecting a Parking Brake Bypass module

Installation:

1) Just connect both ends (to the Pioneer and to the Vehicle)
2) Connect the Vehicle Speed and E-brake signals (Reverse is needed only if you will be connecting a backup camera)
