Plug and Play Stereo Wiring Adapters for 2010-2015 Subaru Vehicles (20-pin wiring)

Does your vehicle have the Harman Kardon audio package? CLICK HERE
Does your vehicle have factory Navigation OR a color display screen in the dash? Use the OEM Navigation page HERE

Most 2010-2015 Subaru vehicles without factory navigation use the 20-pin radio connector - Impreza, WRX, STI, Forester, Crosstrek, Legacy, and Outback (the exact switchover year varies by model; the selector above will confirm yours). Everything below is plug and play - no cutting, no splicing, no soldering - and steering wheel button wiring is included on the main harness. Planning a stereo upgrade or radio replacement? This page is the complete kit. Radio removal on these models takes basic hand tools - see our DIY and tutorials page for removal guides.

2012-2014 Legacy and Outback note: these came with several factory radio variants. If your car has a color display screen in the dash - even without navigation - it uses the navigation-style wiring: use the OEM Navigation page instead. No screen? You are in the right place. Unsure? Pick your radio from pictures HERE, check our wiring database, or email us.

1Pick your main harness - match it to your new headunit

Keep your console AUX jack: the 16-pin adapter retains the console auxiliary input (on Harman Kardon cars this connector also carries the amp signal). Pick the version that matches your headunit's input:

2Keep your console USB port

Most 2010-2015 models use the standard Subaru USB adapter. Exception: the 2015 WRX and 2015 Forester use the Toyota-style adapter instead.

AM/FM antenna note: Most 20-pin Subaru vehicles use a standard antenna plug and do NOT need an antenna adapter. The exception is the 2010-2013 Legacy and Outback: the standard (non-premium) radios in these use a larger factory antenna connector that needs its own adapter:

3Have a factory backup camera?

Camera shows on the radio screen? The 8-pin camera adapter works together with the 20-pin main harness to connect the factory camera to your new headunit:

Camera shows on the small top screen (Multi-Function Display)? The 2014-2015 WRX and Forester display the camera up top - the relocation harness moves the camera image down to your new aftermarket headunit:

No factory camera? Skip this step.
