2021 WRX with Navigation

2021 WRX Aftermarket Installation Kit

Harman Kardon Note: All 2021 WRX models with Navigation also have the Harman Kardon system. This makes the system particularly difficult to bypass/replace when installing an aftermarket headunit. The Harman Kardon amplifier is responsible for some volume control and equalization functions so retaining it is also complicated. At this time, we do not have the connector for the OEM amplifier so we don't have a plug-and-play solution for replacing the amplifier with an aftermarket unit. Please contact us for details.

These adapters maintain many of the features of your stock unit, including connecting your stock backup camera to your new aftermarket headunit but additional parts will be required to retain the factory Harman Kardon amplifier.

The backup camera interface will provide 6 vdc to your backup camera for power and will also provide the video signal to the aftermarket headunit.

What Wiring Do I Need?

The following adapters are recommended for installation of an aftermarket headunit in a 2021 Subaru WRX:

28-pin Harness:

2021 WRX Retain Backup Camera
The 28-pin harness will retain:
-Backup camera funtionality
-Auxiliary inputs(***Analog audio input only. USB is not included***)
-Reverse Gear Signal
-Vehicle Speed Signal
-E-brake Signal
-Steering Wheel control signals will be provided via wire leads. Integration will require an iDatalink Maestro or similar steering wheel control integration unit. (The AXXESS ASWC-1 is not recommended for this application - More Info)

Need a 3.5mm cable for your steering wheel controls? If your headunit has the capability to recognize the steering wheel controls without an interface module, such as the iDatalink Maestro, you may need a cable to connect between the 3.5mm jack on the headunit and the 28-pin harness. The 3.5mm jack for connecting to the back of the new headunit can be purchased HERE.

28-pin harness: $47

Metra 70-1761:

2020 Impreza and Crosstrek with Navigation

2020 Impreza and 2020 Crosstrek Stereo Upgrade Kit

Harman Kardon Note: All 2020 Impreza and Crosstrek models with Navigation also have the Harman Kardon system.

The following adapters are recommended for installation of an aftermarket headunit in a 2020 Subaru Impreza or Crosstrek:

28-pin Harness:

2020 Legacy and Outback with Navigation

2020 Legacy and 2020 Outback Stereo Upgrade Kit

Harman Kardon Note: All 2020 Legacy and Outback models with Navigation also have the Harman Kardon system.
