Description:

This adapter is designed to simplify the installation of a Sony Double Din (or Single Din) Stereo Receiver. This adapter will retain the speaker signals and +12V power connections. If the vehicle has a backup camera, an additional adapter will be necessary but the AutoHarnessHouse.com adapters are plug and play with this adapter so you will not need to splice or solder anything. This wiring harness is the simplest way to install a Sony headunit in your Subaru or Toyota.

Steering wheel buttons can be retained in two different ways:

1) Many Sony units are capable of recognizing the buttons in your vehicle. This will be completed but selecting an on-screen menu where the function of each button can be selected. To do this, you’ll need to connect the steering wheel button signals to the red 3.5mm jack on the back of the Sony double-din headunit. If you want to do this in a plug and play manner, please contact us when you complete your purchase and we can switch the AXXESS ASWC-1 connector or the Maestro SW connector to the 3.5mm plug for you. You will still need to buy the 28-pin (or 20-pin) adapter linked above but you will not need the AXXESS ASWC-1 or Maestro SW unit.

2) If you would like to use the Maestro SW or the AXXESS ASWC-1 for steering wheel buttons, you can buy the parts linked above. All of these parts will be plug and play with your Sony headunit, with the steering wheel control module, and with the connectors on your vehicle.

This adapter will not work for Subaru vehicles that have Harman Kardon or Toyota vehicles with JBL audio.

What's included:

-Reverse and E-brake signals are provided from the Sony connector since this will need to be connected elsewhere on the vehicle.
-+12v switched (Red) and Ground (Black) connections are provided for wiring of a steering wheel control interface or other +12v devices.

Installation:

1) Just connect both ends (to the Sony and to the Vehicle)
2) Connect the E-brake signal (Reverse is needed only if you will be connecting a backup camera)
